The Council of North County Neighborhoods (CNCN) will host a candidate forum Monday evening to help you learn more about where the candidates stand on issues.

CNCN President Don Ewing tells East Lake Patch that all of the candidates in the following races have told him they'll attend the forum with the exception of U.S. Rep Gus Bilirakis, who has a scheduling conflict.

U.S. Congressional District 12

Florida State Senator District 20

• Jack Latvala (Rep)
• Ashley M. Rhodes-Courter (Dem)

Florida State Representative District 65

• Peter Nehr (Rep)
• Carl "Z" Zimmerman (Dem)

Pinellas County Commissioners: District 1 at Large

• Neil Brickfield (Rep)
• Janet C. Long (Dem)

Pinellas County Commissioners: District 3 at Large

• Nancy Bostock (Rep)
• Charlie Justice (Dem)

Pinellas County Sheriff

• Bob Gualtieri (Rep)
• Scott Swope (Dem)
• Greg Pound (WRI)

Also on Monday evening, CNCN plans to launch its annual school essay contest for East Lake Schools.

Monday's CNCN meeting and candidate forum will be held at East Lake Methodist Church, 2801 East Lake Rd.
