Lola Thrives on Attention, Meme is Snuggly

East Lake Patch is proud to help these wonderful pets find new forever homes.

This is Lola, who is a three month-old German Shepherd/hound-mix puppy.

Lola's mother is Sheba, who you may remember was rescued on June 14, before she was scheduled to be put to sleep at the Pasco County animal shelter.  Sheba was pregnant at the time and later had a litter of 10 puppies while living with one of our foster families.

Lola has high energy and thrives on attention. She loves to play.  She is learning some basic commands, such as sit and stay and is working on house training. She plays a little rough so she might not be good around little toddlers initially, unless she is supervised with them. But we're sure she would learn quickly.

Lola likes being the boss and getting her way; so training, socialization and being consistent with rules will be important.

Meme is a very pretty calico kitten who is 10 weeks-old.  She came to live with her foster family when she and her brother were just two days-old. They had to be bottle fed round-the-clock, every two hours. Meme began purring during the first bottle feeding and basically never stopped.

She has always been a snuggly kitten, purring and kneading all the time. When you hold her, she reaches out and gives you kisses, wanting to stay cuddled in your arms for as long as possible. Meme has a wonderful soft coat, a petite meow and a 'little lady' attitude about her... unless another kitten wants to tussle, then she gives him all she has!  Meme plays with anything, but really loves any toy attached to a string. She also loves to hang around the office and “help” people use the computer.  Meme is a special little girl who will make her new family very happy.
