Five Guys Burgers Is Open For Business

The popular hamburger chain recently opened a location in Boot Ranch in Palm Harbor's East Lake community.

The wait is over for fans of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. On Jan. 1, the Arlington, VA-based fast food chain opened a new location at the Shoppes of Boot Ranch in Palm Harbor's East Lake community.

Five Guys restaurants are unique from other fast food chains because they do not serve frozen food and they don't have freezers. Five Guys employees make their burgers from fresh ground beef, and the menu is transfat free.

The new East Lake Five Guys was busy when Patch stopped by Thursday afternoon.

The restaurant already has some regular customers. East Lake High School seniors Loren Whitaker, 18, of East Lake and his buddy Kyle Jones, 17, of Oldsmar were enjoying lunch.

"It's awesome," said Whitaker, who has his burger with cheese, two meat patties, lettuce, tomato, raw onions, pickles, mustard and mayo.

"Since this place has opened, I've been here four times," he said.

Jones agreed: "It's amazing. I knew I was gonna come here way too much."
