Community Update

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - (Mar. 13, 2014) – Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. is introducing its Laundry Project to Ft. Lauderdale residents Saturday, March 15. The project, hosted by Current members and volunteers, will take place at JE-DI Laundry located at 2536 North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“We are so excited to bring the Laundry Project to the residents of Ft. Lauderdale,” said Jason Sowell, President of Current of Tampa Bay. Inc. “As we continue to expand, we’re able to help more and more people with getting clean laundry, which is something so many often take for granted.”

During their most recent event in Bradenton, Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. washed more than 600 loads of laundry for over 60 families.  The Laundry Project is able to provide clean laundry to low-income residents by providing the laundry detergent and coins necessary to wash customers’ clothes.
Local Community members can make donations of much needed supplies including detergent, quarters (rolls of $10), 1-gallon Ziploc bags, garbage bags, coloring books, crayons, fabric softener and laundry baskets. More information about this event can be found online at www.LaundrybyCurrent.org
