Stephen McComsey went to his ex-girlfriend’s house July 13 and knocked on the door, according to a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

When someone opened the door, McComsey rushed into the Elfers area home and argued with several people.

Then he armed himself with a bat wrapped in duct tape. According to deputies, he hit one person on the back of the head. That man fell into unconsciousness and later couldn't recall his name or address when questioned by a deputy. He was taken to a hospital.

McComsey then tried to hit someone else, but missed.

McComsey’s grandmother and friend got him out of the house.

McComsey, 21, of 9815 Hermosillo Drive in New Port Richey, was arrested and charged with armed burglary and aggravated battery.
