Self Defense Day at the Rays

The class will be held on April 7 before the Tampa Bay Rays play the Cleveland Indians.

On April 7, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and the Tampa Bay Rays are teaming up for self defense day. 

"The PCSO and the Tampa Bay Rays encourage you to come out to Tropicana Field for the first ever Self Defense Day on Sunday, April 7. Join us for an hour long Self Defense class on the field before the game."

The class will be taught by Sergeant Denise Nestor and will start at 10:15 a.m. There will be an exclusive entrance for participants at Gate 7 starting at 10 a.m., according to a news release.

All participants, according to the Rays, should wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Afterwards participants will enjoy lower reserved tickets afterward to watch the Rays take on the Cleveland Indians. 

Individual tickets must be purchased at raysbaseball.com/selfdefense using the password SELFD2 to take advantage of this offer.
