East Lake Principal Named District Superintendent
Robert Poth, principal of East Lake High School, recently became a superintendent for Pinellas County Schools.
After almost 30 candidates applied to be an area superintendent, East Lake's own Robert Poth has secured the position over Area 2, according to TBO.
Poth, principial of East Lake High, joins four other district superintendents. Together, the five officials oversee all of the schools in the Pinellas County school district.
Pinellas County Schools Superintendent Michael Grego is responsible for the administrative shuffle, which eliminated 13 jobs but allowed for the hiring of executive director jobs and a number of other positions.

TBO reported that district officials are aiming for the end of June to have the players in their new roles. However, hiring is not complete and will continue through the summer.
